لقد اصبح مجتمع المعلومات يتحول تدريجيا الى مجتمع المعرفة ، كما تاصلت في الاونة الاخيرة العلاقة بين الاقتصاد والمعرفة. فلم يعد مقتصرا على المعلومات وحدها ،بل اصبح يعتمد بشكل اكبر على الخبرة والابتكار، اي انه بعبارة اخرى يعتمد على المعرفة ، وهناك رغبة كبيرة لدى بعض البلدان العربية التحول الى مجتمع المعرفة بما في ذلك الدول النامية ،لذا نستهل هذا البحث في التعرف على مفهوم مجتمع المعلومات ومجتمع المعرفة . ومن ثم نتكلم عن اهم الاسس التي تساعد على قيام مجتمع المعرفة ومراحل تكوينه ومتطلبات مجتمع المعرفة .

Abstract
The information society has gradually become a knowledge society, as the relationship between economics and knowledge has continued recently. It is no longer restricted to information alone, but rather has become more dependent on experience and innovation, meaning that in other words it depends on knowledge, and there is a great desire among some Arab countries to convert to a knowledge society, including developing countries, so we begin this research to get to know the concept of a society Information and knowledge society. Then we talk about the most important foundations that help the establishment of the knowledge society, its stages of formation and the requirements of the knowledge society.
