Abstract
The aim of the study is to analyse the paragraphs of the physics and Earth Sciences textbooks for the 9th basic graders in order to identify the extent to which these books incorporate the criteria of scientific passion and make a comparison between the two text books. The qualitative descriptive study and content analysis method was used in this research and the study tool included a special measurement tool designed by the researcher, consisting of eight main criteria, each of which is derived from sub-indicators, the frequencies and percentages of each criterion were calculated .The results showed that the “investigation” criterion ranked first in the grade of inclusion of criteria in both textbooks at 30.3% in the Book of physics and 25.7% in the Earth Sciences, It is followed, respectively, by “interaction” and “scientific values” and “stimulus” criteria in fourth place in both books.

الهدف من الدراسة هو تحليل فقرات كتب الفيزياء وعلوم الأرض لطلاب الصف التاسع الأساسي من أجل تحديد مدى دمج هذه الكتب لمعايير الشغف العلمي وإجراء مقارنة بين الكتابين المدرسيين. تم استخدام أسلوب الدراسة الوصفية وتحليل المحتوى في هذا البحث ، واشتملت أداة الدراسة على أداة قياس خاصة صممها الباحث ، تتكون من ثمانية معايير رئيسية ، كل منها مشتق من مؤشرات فرعية ، وتكرارات ونسب كل معيار. أظهرت النتائج أن معيار "التحقيق" احتل المرتبة الأولى في درجة إدراج المعايير في كلا الكتابين الدراسيين بنسبة 30.3٪ في كتاب الفيزياء و 25.7٪ في علوم الأرض ، يليه على التوالي "التفاعل". ومعايير "القيم العلمية" و "التحفيز" في المرتبة الرابعة في كلا الكتابين
